Welcome back to the 30 Days to 30 Years series. Today we are excited to feature Jennifer, from Disney Babies Blog. She stretches our imagination and transports us straight back to EPCOT 2002!

EPCOT 2002
I have to admit that my trips to Walt Disney World in the early 2000’s all sort of blend together.
From fall 2000 (when my parents moved to South Florida from Buffalo, NY) through 2005 (when I joined the Army and moved to Virginia from Louisiana and stopped my frequent drives to and fro), I visited the park several times a year. Mostly those trips lasted only day one – and mostly only to the Magic Kingdom. But, 2002 signifies one very important thing in my life: turning 21.

Adulting at Disney
Before turning 21, Epcot was another park that I went to on occasion, but once I hit that magic number, the World Showcase became a favorite place to visit. I remember one trip with my older sister that we discovered the wine samples in the Italy Pavilion.
We ordered a flight (or two) and split them – and luckily followed the advice of the cast member that recommended eating a piece of dark chocolate, which they conveniently sell, with the Rosa Regale, a sparkling rose. At the time, that particular wine wasn’t sold anywhere but at Epcot. Luckily, it’s now available at my local grocery store, but at the time? Wow!!
Journey into Imagination with Figment

Historically speaking, the only “new” addition to Epcot in 2002 was Journey into Imagination with Figment. After a failed attempt to take away both EPCOT’s beloved Dreamfinder and Figment, they brought back Figment and the song “One Little Spark.”
Thanks again for hosting this great countdown for a spectacular park! If you would like to see more of me in a non-alcoholic version, you can check out my regular blog: Disney Babies Blog.
