The Most Stellar Eats and Drinks at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Blog· Dining· Disneyland· MOVE

The best Eats and Drinks at Star Wars Galaxy's Edge

Here’s the “opening crawl” for the most stellar eats and drinks at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Though this is beamed to you from the Disneyland installment, the stars have indicated that the Walt Disney World outpost will be in exact alignment. Our visit during the second week of operations did not disappoint in the slightest. So, I don’t need to tell you the odds… You will love it! Every morsel and sip.

**Updated September 5, after blasting off to the Walt Disney World Resort outpost!

The Most Stellar Eats and Drinks at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

In the land of Batuu, in a galaxy far, far away, comes some of the best grub and sups this side of Tatooine. Nefarious characters of all sorts are welcome, and the menu offerings reflect the eclectic vibe. All that piloting of the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and the building your own droid at Droid Depot makes any crew hungry. And thirsty.

Make these items your “first order!”

Galaxy's Edge Oga's Cantina menu

Oga’s Cantina Menu

Oga’s Cantina

Mos Eisley has nothing on Oga Garra. Oga’s Cantina is without a doubt the STAR of this land, with multiple otherworldly libations. Come take a quick peek inside. (And listen for the dulcet tones of droid DJ Rex.)

Not only are both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices completely unique to this part of the world, many of them come with astronomical souvenirs for purchase. Our favorites (and the ones that made their way back with us to our earthly abode) are:

Oga's Cantina Yub Nub

Yub Nub

Yub Nub

This is a not-too-sweet alcoholic blend of Malibu Pineapple Rum, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, Citrus Juices, and Passion Fruit. Best yet, it is served in a souvenir Endor mug! Can you say collector’s item??

Rancor Beer Flight Souvenir Board with Four Teeth

Rancor Beer Flight Souvenir Board with Four Teeth

Rancor Beer Flight Souvenir Board with Four Teeth

Four beers of increasing depth of flavor and color (Gold Squadron Lager, White Wampa Ale, Gamorrean Ale, and Bad Motivator IPA), each served in its own tooth! How about those names?? Leave LOTS of room in the suitcase for this one. It now sits in a place of honor in our living room… (NOTE: In the Orlando establishment, my son needed to purchase the entire serving board- now $10 more expensive!- in order to sample these brews.)

Oga's Cantina Cliff Dweller with souvenir porg mug

Oga’s Cantina Cliff Dweller with souvenir porg mug

Cliff Dweller

The absolute standout in the non-alcoholic category, with Citrus Juices, Coconut, Hibiscus-Grenadine, and Seagram’s® Ginger Ale. And oh so CUTE served in a souvenir porg mug.

Oga's Cantina The Outer Rim

The Outer Rim

The Outer Rim

This one comes without a souvenir glass, but was my favorite sup of all; the perfect mix of sweet and sour. This “margarita” is a galactic hit with Patrón Silver Tequila, Cedilla Açaí Liqueur, Lime Juice, and Pure Cane Sugar topped with Black Salt and Exotic Fruit Purée. The puree on top makes it!

Breakfast at Oga’s Cantina
Oga's Cantina Spiran Caf

Spiran Caf

Mind you, we visited Oga’s at 7:00 in the morning, but that wasn’t stopping us from soaking up the atmosphere fully. We tried EVERYTHING. There is no better way to kick start the best of the eats and drinks at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge than with a Spiran Caf. In addition to eye-opening Peru Alto Mayo Organic Joffrey’s Coffee®, is the accompanying Orange Marmalade, Gosling’s 151 Rum, Vanilla Whipped Cream, and Citrus Zest. Think Vitamin C!

Oga's Cantina Rising Moons Overnight Oats

Rising Moons Overnight Oats

The hit of the munchies here are the Rising Moons Overnight Oats (Oats, Dragon Fruit, Yogurt, and Seasonal Fruit) and the Mustafarian Lava Roll (see below). After all, one must wash down the liquid concoctions with something. Both are available at this watering hole and the Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. Both are absolutely delicious. Other than these breakfast items, I would skip the nibbles (Batuu Bits) here. Don’t miss the opportunity to hang with the riffraff and celebrate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Oga’s.

Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo

When traveling the Outer Rim and Wild Space one gets hungry. Piloting the Millennium Falcon can get you ravenous, in fact. THIS is the place to chow when in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Take a look inside at opening time- you’re the first one in!

Looks cavernous, doesn’t it? Now when it’s full of hungry travelers, I assure you. Use Mobile Ordering whenever possible here.

Breakfast

Star Wars Galaxy's Edge Breakfast

Bright Suns Morning

We had scrumptious breakfast fare on our trip this summer. (Check the menus daily, as full breakfast may not be available every morning.) The most celestial choice for early risers is the three cheese egg bite (think souffle), pork sausage, purple potato hash, and a mini Mustafarian Lava Roll. Delish! Add a Moof Juice- Simply Fruit Punch® and Simply Orange® with Pineapple, Chipotle-Pineapple- and set your course for the rest of the day.

All-Day Dining

Galaxy's Edge Docking Bay 7 Smoked Kaadu Ribs

Smoked Kaadu Ribs (Smoked Pork Ribs)

Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs has a victor in the lunch/dinner category as well. The Smoked Kadu Ribs are scrumptious. PLEASE NOTE: As of October, these menu items have adapted more “earthly” monikers. This item is now simply referred to as “Smoked Pork Ribs.” This well-balance plate comes with the perfect complement of a Blueberry Corn Muffin and crunchy Cabbage Slaw. Sooooooo good. And filling too.

Desserts

Galaxy's Edge desserts

Oi-oi Puff

Surprisingly, there is a notable lack of sweets in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. I had to remind myself I was in a Disney park! I expect this to change, but for now the standout in the sugar category is the Oi-oi Puff; a Raspberry Cream Puff with Passion Fruit Mousse.

**Please note that Kids’ Meals, Kids’ Disney Check Meals, Gluten/Wheat, Egg, Fish, Shellfish, Milk, Peanut, Tree Nut, and Soy Allergy-Friendly menus are ALL available. Disneyland, the galaxy salutes you.

Ronto Roasters

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Ronto Roasters in Disneyland

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Ronto Roasters (The version in Anaheim is blue, Orlando’s is red!)

Nestled back in Black Spire Outpost Market, is the hanging podracer engine jerry-rigged to roast the ronto beasts. These “rontos” are native to Tatooine, so don’t miss your chance to sample one. How do you like your rontos prepared? Well done?

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Ronto Roaster

Ronto Roaster

And that’s exactly how ours was done; nice and crunchy on the ends. I can’t tell you how much we enjoyed our Ronto Roaster. This Roasted Pork, Grilled Pork Sausage, Peppercorn Sauce, tangy Slaw, wrapped in Pita is another astral combination, for sure.

Kat Saka’s Kettle

Galaxy's edge Kat Saka's Kettle

Kat Saka’s Kettle’s Outpost Popcorn Mix in Galaxy’s Edge.

Nearby is the snack stall Kat Saka’s Kettle, which serves that colorful Outpost Mix (popcorn) that you’ve surely seen photos of. Sweet, spicy and interesting in taste, this “Batuu Bite” is worth buying for your Resistance to share. Personally, I couldn’t imagine eating an entire bag solo. (And how about that Coke bottle? Another souvenir we brought back to our planet!!)

Milk Stand

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge The Milk Stand

Blue Milk or Green Milk?

Much has been written about Blue Milk and Green Milk. I say, when in Batuu… Think of drinking a glass of this frozen plant-based blend of coconut and rice milks as part of your total immersion in this very distinctive land. As with any other Disney endeavor, most Guests want to be part of the story. If it was good enough for Luke Skywalker (blue milk in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, and green milk in Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi), it should pass your test.

Would I, could I, drink an entire glass? No. We split each among the four of us. But not before those Instagram photos were taken aplenty. And now with the addition of alcohol? Do. It. The Blue Milk with Rum was really quite tasty! At Walt Disney World, the alcoholic varieties- Bacardi rum with Blue Milk and Corazon Blanco tequila to the Green Milk- are served in square-shaped glasses with the addition of a wooden stirrer. No slip-ups with the kiddies allowed!!

Most Stellar Eats and Drinks at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

I found most all of the eats and drinks at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge so visually appealing. After all, space beings eat with their (many) eyes first. Most of these tastes were just heavenly; the perfect supplement to the celestial surroundings. Step “on planet” in Disneyland Park and soon in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Walt Disney World). And sample these most stellar eats and drinks at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Good Journey, and May the Spires Keep You!
