Our next stop on the tour of National Register of Historic Places, @TheCottonwoodHotel is a newly-restored version of this landmark from the Roaring Twenties.

Formerly known as the Blackstone Hotel, it was THE stop off for Union Pacific Railroad travelers due to its midway location between San Francisco and Chicago. For this reason, it was known as “The Hotel of Presidents.” They famously hosted JFK and Jackie (for the celebration of their 5th anniversary), Richard Nixon (he announced his candidacy for the Presidency from the rooftop ballroom), and at least 10 other U.S. Presidents.

The @Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel also claims the Reuben Sandwich and Butter Brickle ice cream as their inventions.
