Jolly Holidays spent in “Walt’s place” are a Christmas present you won’t soon forget! Here are the Disneyland Resort holiday highlights or “gifts” that I found most UNFORGETTABLE:
Top 5 Disneyland Resort Holiday Highlights
1. Attraction Overlays:
– Haunted Mansion Holiday
Jack Skellington rules the mansion during Halloween AND Christmas |
– “it’s a small world” holiday
A world of laughter and a ho, ho, ho |
– Jingle Cruise
Deck the puns! |
You can now add Mater’s Jingle Jamboree and Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl to this magical list of holiday makeovers!
2. Entertainment jollys:
– A Christmas Fantasy Parade
Santa Claus meets Aurora |
– Disney ¡Viva Navidad!
Feliz Navidad fiesta |
– World of Color – Winter Dreams (Now Season of Light)
Holidays colors |
3. Disneyland Holiday Decorations:
– Cars Land Holiday Décor
Have a very Merry Carsmas |
– Trees
Including the Buena Vista Street Holiday Tree Lighting!
Decking Disney’s Grand Californian Resort & Spa, Main Street, U.S.A., and Buena Vista Street |
– Sleeping Beauty Castle
And those thousands of twinkling lights come to life at dusk!
Royal Garland |
4. Tinseled Plusses:
– Downtown Disney Winter Village
Fractals fill Olaf’s Frozen Ice Rink and nine shopping chalets. (Skating and Ghiradelli’s Hot Chocolate are a given.) |
– Extra, extra, feel all about it!
5. Disneyland Candlelight Processional
If you have visited Walt Disney World during the holidays, then you KNOW how touching and spectacular this show is. This Disneyland original tradition began the year I was born- 1958! The moving re-telling of the birth of Christ has featured narrators such as Dick Van Dyke, Jimmy Stewart, Kurt Russell, and this year Lin-Manuel Miranda. Unlike the full stage setting at Epcot, this version is held in front of the Main Street Station. AND it is limited to one weekend in December. So time it right!
As a bonus to Top 5 Disneyland Resort holiday highlights I must add in a bonus. Though now a memory, I felt I needed to include wintry glimpses back at Disneyland 60. (After all, the countdown to number 70 is on!)
– Paint the Night Parade, Disneyland Forever Fireworks, World of Color – Celebrate!
Double the yuletide spirit
In the Christmas spirit yet? I hope the Disneyland Resort will help make your Christmas dreams come true…!
