Have you been considering a Walt Disney World Resort stay at a Disney Springs Resort Area Hotel? With attractive rates and safety measures set to attract Guests back to the parks, now is time to act! One of seven Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels, Wyndham Lake Buena Vista/Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista in the Disney Springs Resort area offers perks that you might not expect from a non-Disney resort hotel. They call it the Disney Advantage. With 394 guest rooms and 6 dining options, this destination sits on Disney property and is sooooo close to the magic. Here are the top reasons to stay at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista. (HINT: Check out that pricing!!)
** I paid full price for my room at this resort. I did, however, receive a complimentary breakfast during the Glamping Bloggers Retreat.
Top Reasons to Stay at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista
Location, Location, Location!
This is THE closest hotel to Disney Springs. (Which, with 64 Restaurants and Quick Service options, has by the way become a dining mecca). With just a short walk on the designated overhead walkway, 108 shops, concerts at House of Blues, dance shows at Raglan Road, AMC Disney Springs 24 movie theater, Splitsville bowling, and a host of other activities are at your easy reach. And all of them without buying a theme park ticket!
The Price Is SO Right
Though deemed a “Value Resort” on the Walt Disney World website, in my assessment that would apply only to the courtyard Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista rooms. The gorgeous Wyndham Lake Buena Vista “lake-house” tower rooms, are recently refurbished and start at rates less than $100. (You read that right!) Resort fees apply. Affordable is the most fitting word I can use to describe this property.
Easy-to-Book Character Breakfast
(*Please be aware, that due to COVID-19 precautions, this venue is temporarily closed.)
Fretting that you didn’t get the most-coveted Disney Character Breakfast reservation? No need to disappoint the kiddies. Three days a week- Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday- the Lakeview Restaurant serves a buffet breakfast with Goofy and Pluto. Though reservations are suggested, this is a much simpler reservation “get.” Even better, it allows plenty of time for photo ops with two of the Fab Five, and is another bargain at $28.95 for adults, $12.95 for children. With all-you-can-eat Mickey Mouse waffles!!!
Room with a View
From my Tower Room I felt as though I reach out and touch Disney Springs, especially the Aerophile- the World Leader in Balloon Flight! At night, I had a great view of the evening fireworks from Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Bonus!
Transit
(During the Coronavirus pandemic, please check on modifications.)
Free transportation is provided to all of the Disney theme parks via a shuttle service every 30 minutes. If you are driving, you may self-park or valet at (same price!) $20 dollars for every 24 hours in and out.
Makes a Splash
The Oasis Aquatic Pool Playground feels more like a water park, but a very approachable one. With the Oasis Restaurant steps away, lunch or dinner by the pool sounds like a terrific option for the family that needs some theme park downtime. (But without the cost of a Disney Water Park ticket!)
Magical Employees
It’s official: Disney-owned properties do not have an exclusive on Pixie-Dusted employees! Dewan at check-in and Shelton at bell services were magical standouts. Really!
The Disney Advantage
In addition to your affordable stay at this location, you will now have access to many of the same benefits as Disney Resort Hotel guests:
- Extra Magic Hours
- Link your room reservation with My Disney Experience.
- The ability to purchase them park tickets in your hotel or online in advance of your stay.
- Once tickets are purchased and linked, you can book your FastPass+ selections at 60 days!
- Book on-property golf tee times 90 days in advance with greens fees and rental equipment discounts.
- Disney Springs Passport Coupons!
In short, Wyndham Lake Buena Vista offers Disney on-property benefits at off-property prices; the best of both Worlds! That’s the Disney Advantage!!
