First you were all like whoa, and we were all like whoa, and you were like whoa…! That sums up our first, second, and third ride on Crush’s Coaster. This wild ride on the East Australian Current (EAC) twirls, twists and dips you through a corner of Walt Disney Studios Park. Located in this, the second park at Disneyland Paris, the attraction is globally unique to this Disney property.
Disneyland Paris Crush’s Coaster
Built in Toon Studio in 2007, this spinning coaster (think Primeval Whirl) loads Guests into a double-sided turtle shell right in Sydney Harbo It then quickly transports them deep into the Great Barrier Reef. Depending on the distribution of weight in the shell, you may experience some turbulence on your journey. Hence, every ride on Crush’s Coaster is a completely different experience! (Remember the Tilt-A-Whirl??)
Take a look at the queue previews- bubbles galore!
This is essentially a dark ride complete with scenes and characters from Disney-Pixar’s Finding Nemo and Finding Dory. (Think what the Disney Parks have done to update Turtle Talk with Crush.) You are whisked into the sunlight for a brief moment, and then zipped into the EAC with Nemo, Squirt and the gang.
This attraction was by far our FAVORITE at Disneyland Paris; in part because is thrilling, entertaining, and themed so well. We are clearly not alone in thinking it is totally awesome, as the wait times for Crush’s Coaster hovered around 90 minutes for the entire length of our eleven-day stay.
Plus, this is the only spot in the 4,800-acre park where you can find Nemo and his friends! Unfortunately, we were hard pressed to find Dory when we returned to run the inaugural Disneyland Paris Half Marathon. (You’re the first to know dude!!
Tips:
– FastPass is not available for Crush’s Coaster
– To help pass the loooong wait times, Crush’s Coaster, the Game, is now available for play on your mobile device; simply utilize the dedicated Wi-Fi network and help Crush collect starfish and navigate the EAC.
– Guests are required to transfer out of their wheelchair or ECV for loading.
– Service animals are not permitted on this attraction
I look forward to surfing the deep blue sea this fall and watching Finding Dory again and again! Sending a special thank you to Becca from Love Our Crazy Life for creating some totally rad excitement over this movie’s upcoming release!!
Disneyland Paris’ Crush’s Coaster is perhaps the number one “must-do” attraction for Americans. (We don’t have our own!)
Are you also in Disneyland Paris training? Come follow my “plan.” (Whether running or not!)
